SATICOY BATTERY STORAGE FACILITY DESIGN-BUILD

Saticoy, California

Battery storage facilities play a vital role in stabilizing power grids, capable of transitioning from standby to full power in milliseconds to address outages and fluctuations. As the fastest-responding dispatchable energy source, they also help mitigate the intermittency of clean energy sources such as wind and solar.

At Omni Design, we collaborate with clean energy developers to deliver architectural design, site planning, and infrastructure solutions that bring battery storage projects to life—especially in urban environments.

One standout project is the Saticoy 100-megawatt battery storage facility, one of the largest grid-scale energy storage systems in the United States. Located in Saticoy, California, the facility features 142 Tesla Megapacks, capable of storing 400 megawatt-hours of electricity.

These utility-scale batteries charge from the grid during off-peak hours and discharge during peak demand, helping to balance energy supply and demand. This operation enhances grid reliability, supports renewable integration, and contributes to a more resilient energy future.
