CAMBRIA ESTATE WINERY UPGRADES DESIGN-BUILD

Santa Maria, California

In 2018, Jackson Family Winery engaged Omni Design to provide entitlement services and design a semi-enclosed, 28,000-square-foot metal canopy and structural frame over the existing wine tanks.

The wall facing the main entrance of the tasting room was designed as a visual showcase, featuring perforated metal panels mounted on a metal girt frame. This partially screens the wine tanks—some reaching heights of up to 30 feet—while creating a striking architectural element that enhances the visitor experience.

In 2021, Omni Design Inc. returned to redesign the façade and patio of the tasting room’s main entrance. The renovation included new doors and windows, architectural pop-outs, guardrails, permanent shade structures, and a monumental barn door with laser-cut aluminum panels that complement the guardrail materials. The scope also covered accessible parking, pathways, stairways, and landscaping.

Omni Design was responsible for the architectural design and detailing of the façade, patio, and shade structures, as well as the preparation of topographic surveys to support the improvements.
