Key objectives included eliminating dead ends, improving water quality, and enhancing the system’s ability to isolate pipeline segments without interrupting service.
The new water main, including all associated appurtenances, spans approximately 8,939 linear feet. It begins at the intersection of Aero Road and Tangair Road and extends to multiple facilities, including buildings at 1654 Porto Road, 1665 Piro Road, SLC10W, SLC10E, and various structures along Mono and Oro Roads.
Omni Design Inc. was responsible for preparing submittals and specification documents in compliance with the VAFB Facilities Excellence Standards. The team worked in close coordination with government representatives and the construction contractor, RORE, Inc., to ensure the project’s success.
