Omni Design Leads Terminal Renovation as Paso Robles Airport Eyes Spaceport Future

Paso Robles Municipal Airport has always punched above its weight for a Central Coast regional facility — and now, with the city advancing an FAA commercial spaceport licensing application and forging partnerships with Stellar Explorations, NASA Ames Research Center, and local universities, the airport is positioning itself as a hub for the next era of aerospace and advanced manufacturing in San Luis Obispo County.

Omni Design has been an integral part of that transformation from the inside out. Since April 2025, our team has been leading the comprehensive terminal renovation for the City of Paso Robles, redesigning the facility's interior and exterior to reflect the airport's ambitions while creating a welcoming, functional space for passengers, staff, and the community.

Our work on the Paso Robles Airport Terminal Renovation (Project 2024-142) has spanned nearly every visible and functional element of the terminal building:

1. Exterior Paint & Color Scheme Redesign — We developed three full exterior paint scheme options — exploring Brown, Blue, Light Blue, and Red palettes — giving the City a clear visual direction to modernize the terminal's curb appeal.

2. Interior Furniture Layout — Two complete furniture layout options were developed for the lobby, tarmac-side waiting area, and stair nook, with samples sourced from Agati furniture and new fabric and color selections delivered to the client.
