Omni Design provided topographic survey services to address erosion near the Oak Shores Wastewater Treatment Facility, a County of San Luis Obispo property. Portions of the survey area were inaccessible due to steep slopes. Omni Design deployed our in-house drone to collect survey data in areas that would have been unsafe or cost-prohibitive with conventional ground-based methods, enabling complete site coverage efficiently and safely.

Field survey included location of relevant monuments to establish property lines, location of all physical features relative to drainage and erosion issues within the designated project limits, and production of a topographic map and orthophoto deliverable at 1-foot contour intervals with a 5-foot index in NAD83 Zone 5 and NAVD 88. An expanded survey area was added mid-project and delivered without delay. The County expressed satisfaction with the deliverables and the team's responsive handling of the expanded scope.
